The name "Dom Bakeries" may be relatively new to North Carolina, but it has been associated with fresh, delicious donuts and baked goods for almost 50 years! David and Bronwyn Barricklow founded the company in Michigan in the 1970s, when Dave was the one of the first and youngest people in the United States to become a Master Baker. The original bakery, which was sold to another family in the late '90s, continues to thrive in Michigan using Dave's original recipes.
The Barricklow's are excited to now bring their baking passion and talents to the Wilkes community in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina, where they have been living for the past several years. The new Dom Bakeries continues the tradition of providing top quality products made fresh every day. Additionally, the menu now includes made-from-scratch pizza, as well as salads, sandwiches, beer, and wine.
