Ordering Guidelines
ADVANCED NOTICE
Orders for custom decorated items require advanced notice of at least 2-3 business days. Alaina's business days are Tues-Fri 8am-12pm. (Orders for Tuesday must be received by the previous Thursday.) We recommend ordering as far in advance as possible, as she books up quickly!
If you need something last-minute, we typically have pre-decorated cakes ready in our showcase. Please call 336-990-9245 for current availability and pricing.
HOW TO ORDER
To order, please email cakes@dombakeries.com or message Alaina on FACEBOOK @dombakeriesnc. Feel free to include pictures/examples of what you have in mind!
(NOTE: Alaina's schedule can be unpredictable right now as she, like many parents, is juggling homeschooling with her full work load. Emailing/messaging is the best way to contact her. Thank you!)
ORDER PICKUP
Orders may be picked up anytime during our store hours (7am-7:30pm Tues-Thurs & 7am-8pm Fri-Sat).
Sunday & Monday pick-ups are by special appointment only, as our store is closed.
SPECIAL DELIVERIES
Deliveries for weddings and large events may be arranged with Alaina on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee.
RESTRICTIONS
Please note that we do not work with fondant.
Flavors
Below is a list of popular cake and icing flavors. However, since we mix everything in-house, we can create pretty much any flavor. If you have something special in mind, please don't hesitate to ask. We are happy to accommodate, if possible.
*Buttercream and cream cheese icings can be flavored to accommodate special requests (e.g., lemon, strawberry, almond, maple, banana, etc.) Just let us know your preference when you place your order.
Pricing
Below are our standard prices. However, please keep in mind that all customized cakes and decorations are priced separately according to multiple factors, such as size, layers, toppings, design, etc. For a custom quote, please email with a description (and photos, if possible) of what you have in mind.
🐶Cakes for Dogs🐶
Order a cake for your fur baby's birthday or any occasion! Cakes are 6" double-layer made with dog-friendly ingredients (see below), including fluffy mashed potato frosting, and decorated with our homemade dog biscuits.

DOG-FRIENDLY INGREDIENTS
Eggs - Good source of protein for dogs.
Peanut butter - Dogs are mad for peanut butter! This gives the cake an irresistible peanut butter smell.
Oil - Very small amount, about 1/2 tsp per slice.
Honey - For a touch of sweetness, about 3/4 tsp per slice.
Carrot - Carrot is good for dogs! Also makes the sponge moist.
Whole Wheat Flour - Just like with humans, carbs are fine to consume in moderation.
Baking Soda - Makes the sponge rise.
Potato - As with flour, cooked potato is fine to consume in moderation! It's a better,
healthier option than peanut butter yogurt frosting.
Yogurt - Probiotics in yogurt is good for dogs digestive system, just like with humans.
Icing is made with peanut butter and yogurt. Mashed potato icing is available upon request with sprinkles only (no decorations or writing).
