Ordering Guidelines
ADVANCED NOTICE
Orders for custom decorated items require advanced notice of at least 1-2 business days. (Our business days are Tuesday-Saturday.) We recommend ordering as far in advance as possible!
If you need something last-minute, we typically have pre-decorated cakes ready in our showcase. Please call 336-990-9245 for current availability and pricing.
HOW TO ORDER
To order or inquire about a cake, please email cakes@dombakeries.com or send a Facebook message to @dombakeriesnc. An ordering specialist will respond to your message during our business hours Tues, Thurs, Fri, & Sat.
PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- At least 1 photo to show an example of the design you're looking for (very important!)
- Order date and time (for pickup)
- Number of servings needed
- Flavor Choice(s)
- Your name and phone number
NOTE: Orders are not officially placed until confirmed!
ORDER PICKUP
Orders may be picked up anytime during our store hours (7am-7:30pm Tues-Thurs & 7am-8pm Fri-Sat).
Sunday & Monday pickups are by special appointment only (*if possible*), as our store is closed.
PAYMENT
Customers may pay over the phone (just let our staff know the name and date of the order) or at the time of pickup. Some orders may require a deposit.
WEDDINGS
To order a wedding cake or schedule a tasting, please email cakes@dombakeries.com with as much advanced notice as possible.
RESTRICTIONS
Please note:
- We do not work with fondant.
- Cake toppers are provided by the customer. You can drop them off for us to place on the cake or place it on the cake after pickup.
- WE DO NOT DELIVER except under very special circumstances (WEDDING CAKES ONLY) for an additional fee. While we will try to accommodate if/when we can, we reserve the right to refuse delivery at any time, as this is not included in our services. Thank you.
Custom Cake Toppers
Weather you need a custom cake made, or just the topper, or both... we've got you covered!
No need to shop around on Amazon or Etsy anymore to find the cake topper you are wanting. Just send us a picture of the topper and we can give you a quote!
Please give us at least 48 hours to make your topper.
Flavors
Below is a list of popular cake and icing flavors. However, since we mix everything in-house, we can create pretty much any flavor. If you have something special in mind, please don't hesitate to ask. We are happy to accommodate, if possible.
*Buttercream and cream cheese icings can be flavored to accommodate special requests (e.g., lemon, strawberry, almond, maple, banana, etc.) Just let us know your preference when you place your order.
Pricing
Standard pricing can be found on our menu. However, please keep in mind that all customized cakes and decorations are priced separately according to multiple factors, such as size, layers, toppings, design, etc. For a custom quote, please contact Megan, per our Ordering Guidelines.

Order a cake for your fur baby! Cakes are 6" double-layer made with dog-friendly ingredients (see below) and decorated with our homemade dog biscuits.

To order a dog cake, please email Megan at cakes@dombakeries.com at least 2-3 business days in advance. She respond during business hours.
Please include in your email:

- Cake Size (1 biscuit or 4 biscuits)
- What you'd like written on the cake

DOG-FRIENDLY INGREDIENTS
Eggs - Good source of protein for dogs.
Peanut butter - Dogs are mad for peanut butter! This gives the cake an irresistible peanut butter smell.
Oil - Very small amount, about 1/2 tsp per slice.
Honey - For a touch of sweetness, about 3/4 tsp per slice.
Carrot - Carrot is good for dogs! Also makes the sponge moist.
Whole Wheat Flour - Just like with humans, carbs are fine to consume in moderation.
Baking Soda - Makes the sponge rise.
Potato - As with flour, cooked potato is fine to consume in moderation! It's a better,
healthier option than peanut butter yogurt frosting.
Yogurt - Probiotics in yogurt is good for dogs digestive system, just like with humans.
Icing is made with peanut butter and yogurt. Mashed potato icing is available upon request with sprinkles only (no decorations or writing).
